Mona

Once again this wasnt who I meant to draw next, but I hit a wall with the previous sketch and had no idea what to do for the background, so I decided to start something new instead. This was supposed to be an easy/quick one and it turned into anything but, lol. I struggled so much with getting it to look good and also with deciding certain things so it was one of those where I reached a point where I was so tired of looking at it, I couldnt tell if it looked good anymore. Fortunately now that I am working on something else and I can look at it from a fresh point of view again, I am enjoying it a lot more and its better than I originally thought.

Anyway, its Mona, so of course I had to do something with some focus on the bottom. Although this wasnt what I originally intended to do at all...

This was supposed to be a beach pic, with her wearing a one piece swimsuit, but then once I drew it, I was like "wait a minute, she would look really good wearing a bunnysuit instead" so then I added the bunny tail and ears and so on, and I ran into another problem... Wearing a bunnysuit at the beach makes no sense, lol. So yeah, went for a bedroom thing instead.

Even then it took me a long time to decide what I wanted to go for when it comes to time of the day and I did go through sunset and night time versions. I tried pretty much everything really, and in the end this was what I liked he most, since I love pastel pink and how soft and feminine it looks in general.

The bunnysuit was another thing I kept changing throughout, with it being black for most of the process, which I thought was the obvious choice for her. That said while it looked good, due to how I did the rest of the scene, both white and light pink were better fits, and in the end I settled for pink just so the white elements (tail, armbands, headband) would stand out more.

There was also the dilemma of going with tights or bare legs, which I decided at the very last minute and again was basically a coin flip. They both had their pros and cons, but I settled for this because of how soft it looked, and I guess I tend to prefer bare legs in general.

As for her expression I wanted her to be pretty angry and give off tsundere vibes since I thought that would suit her character. I had a few different options here like going with a pout or such and they would have all worked out well, but I had to pick one so I went with this. 

I think that covers all of my thoughts on this one. Its definitely not as good as Jean but I think it looks super cute and overall Im still happy with it. Im gonna go full try hard on the next one because the sketch is really promising and in theory it should be the best of the Genshin drawings yet, but you never know.
