Its a bit different from my usual stuff, I just wanted to experiment a bit and do a more artsy portrait (and not having to bother with background is nice). It also feels higher quality than usual with the detail of the shading since I looked closely at the in game model and all that, though I wish I could do this kind of quality on every pic (if I did Id probably charge a lot more for my commissions though).
I think I like Rava more because dark skin just suits viera so well, but maybe thats just how Im used to seeing them.
And if youre curious this is based on face 3 which is by far my favorite (most people seem to prefer face 1 but thats because face 3 looks bad with the default settings... once you mess around with it and change the mouth, its the best one).
The hairstyle is the ponytail one with bangs although you cant see the ponytail here sadly, but its by far my favorite style (one of only two I like actually).
The most annoying thing about drawing vieras is you need to leave enough space above the head for the ears, which makes for weird compositions, like how here her head is in the lower half of the pic, while normally in a portrait it would be in the upper half. Thats something Im gonna have to play around with and figure out what the best way to handle it is.

It reminds me of the piece you did of an Au Ra back before Heavensward came out. Also, possible solution for the viera spacing problem is to center their face, draw the ears in the top third, and then draw their boobs in the bottom third. Perfectly spaced! B)

The lips, the eyes, the shading....ooooof she's spectacular ! Also ponytail haircut, best haircut. Ponytail FTW ! (but i'm totally biased ofc ;P lmao)

Think drawn viera are gonna be good unlike the ingame ones (sorry not sorry). Though face 3 with some playing around is the best face, did the same in the benchmark too since rest of the faces are pretty meh. Also viera are really tall, their lowest height is my limit lol. I also don't mind the colour but prefer pale skin myself. That said, I like this one enough to put it in my backgrounds lol. I will probably make my first alt thats not on diff datacentre just to see how it feels like to play as viera, since I like my au ra the most not gonna use a fantasia.
