Scarlet Night

So here it is! The coloring went super smoothly so I did it pretty much from start to finish in one go. Of course I have a process thing for this one so here.

I already mentioned a lot of the important things in the last post so Ill just talk about what changed and why I picked this setting.

Originally when I did the sketch I had a night time scene in mind, with the usual blue light coming from the window and all that, but as always while doing the flat colors I started experimenting with it and I noticed the red sky looked really awesome... And then it hit me, since the main event that leads to this and sets up the whole game happens during the scarlet night, it was just perfect. You could think of this being set in the same night just after those events, with her still trying to cope with what just happened.

This also had another great side effect which was that I didnt need to use the red shirt anymore because there is already so much red in the pic (the blood helps a lot too), so I went with the brown one which is what she should be wearing here anyway. So yeah everything just came together so well and I get this huge sense of satisfaction from it matching the game so well.

It was just so much fun to do in general, even though it took a lot longer than my average drawing. But I guess when youre doing something you enjoy it doesnt really matter. 

I think Ill eventually draw her again at some point, with the full armor (minus the cape) and the claw, more of an action shot and all that.

So now the first patron voted character is done Ill make a new poll in the next few days for the 2nd one. Since people said there were too many choices last time, Im gonna trim it down and include only the 5 characters with most votes other than Velvet, and make it so people can only vote once. Then once that poll is done I think Ill just draw the characters in order of votes until Im done with all of them, before making a new poll with new characters. Unless people like voting and would rather have a new poll every month anyway, lol. Though the results will probably be the same since the same people are voting (it would only matter if I got a huge influx of new patrons meanwhile).
