Lulu
Added 2018-08-20 16:33:53 +0000 UTCIve been wanting to draw Lulu again for a long time since the first one I did was starting to look really outdated (almost 5 years old at this point) and its one of those characters I felt really suits my style. Plus I just love her design and general look.
As it happens I was lucky to have someone commission it in June so it was the perfect chance to do it.
I worked really hard on the shading for this one, since I kinda wanted it to be a display of how much Ive improved technically from the last one. And for that reason I thought it would be fun to include it as the extra for today.
Also did one of those process thingies for this one, so you can check that out too if youre interested.
I actually did things a bit differently here, since I completely colored her while leaving the background empty and then added it at the end, whereas with most drawings I start by coloring the background first to know what general colors Ill be going for, so that was a bit of an experiment.
Ive also been trying a heavier blur with the background when it comes to portraits and I love how it makes the characters pop and gives the drawings this really polished look, so Im definitely gonna keep doing that.
I also like that this balances out the last few I posted in terms of breast size, even if I enjoy them all in their own way. I always like to keep that variety going with body types.

I made it very subtle but glad it doesnt go unnoticed, its something I always like to add for characters with pale skin (and of course I asked the commissioner if they liked it before I did) Im usually in favor of anything that adds a more natural look to the characters, stretch marks is another one I like ( can see it very well in this one if you zoom in - <a href="https://www.patreon.com/posts/glass-19730202">https://www.patreon.com/posts/glass-19730202</a> )

WIth a blurr effect, it works really well, and make Lulu standing out even more. Thanks for the process and the comparaison with the "old Lulu". While you art is forever awesome/gorgeous, a lot of improvment have been done. Really splendid work Sora. :3 And yeahhh....dem boobies, dat teasing pose man ! Just perfection <3

I'd love to see more FF characters in your style. If I could make a request, I recall a piece of Rydia you did a few years ago that I'd love to see in hi-res.

2018-08-20 20:38:56 +0000 UTCAlways great when the commissioner has the same tastes and I can include things like that which I also like (and just make the breasts exactly to my taste as a whole) The blur on the background is a win win for me since it cuts the time spent on it considerably and it actually looks better most of the time, at least for someone like me who doesnt have the patience to spend hours on it

I think this really shows off well how much better you've gotten with shading even in the years I've been getting commissions from you. Love the fair skin and the veins showed off in her breasts.
