About shared looks
Added 2020-03-17 22:28:47 +0000 UTCThere seems to be some confusion about my looks files. I’ve been saving all of my looks as a scene file. Simply open all of my looks on this page as a scene. From there, you are free to save the look as a standard look file, or as a look preset. I may change the way I do this in the future, if enough people prefer it a different way. So, please weigh in with your thoughts.

It’s not that your way doesn’t work - just that I prefer to drop one file that has more info inside it and not just the look characteristics. From there you can extract what you like and safe off as a look, or a skin preset, etc.

2020-03-18 02:09:20 +0000 UTCLooks are usually shared as scenes simply because the vac system made this the easiest way to include the morphs, textures, etc the look depends upon. With the new packaging system coming in 1.19, this will no longer be the case. You'll be able to distribute look files or appearance presets along with all related assets in one var file. Simply save the *.var file to VaM's , "addonPackages" directory and the contents appear in Vam. It's going to take some getting used to, but it's a whole new way of doing things. No need to include a scene unless you want to.
