I wanted to clarify what I meant, as a QT fan and my only sub to any streamer goes to QT, I don’t want my tweet to be seen as a malicious hater. I never ended up replying to QT on twitter because my tweet was not only bombarded by hate but I’ve also been busy travelling. My criticism for platforming faze was never in reference to who was nominated/ or won. My tweet was in response to streamers personally platforming them as an org, not as individuals. I personally don’t like the strong “faze up” energy when they have someone like banks representing them. When ANY woman mentions anything critical of faze online; the responses from fans are atrocious. Like Hasan mentioned on the pod, there’s a loud presence from the misogyny lovers / blatant misogyny coming from within the faze fan community; and that’s where my dislike stems from. I never want to be a para-social goblin or try to police who content creators can or can’t collaborate with. Ultimately I’m a viewer and have no pull in their brand, and I personally love Jason. My tweet was purely just trying to touch on platforming faze as an org on personal streams, rather than trying to ridicule any friendships/ colleagues in the space. I hope this shares more light and clarification on what I meant! Sorry if something doesn’t make sense or wasn’t articulated very well, I have dyslexia. Feel free to talk about this response if any of y’all read this, and ask any questions for clarification! I’m sorry to QT that my tweet came off as another controversial comment/ hater energy. I’ll be more mindful of the timing/ wording I use in the future if I do decide to share my thoughts online.

Hotel France in Okayama has some of the only moving beds still in Japan (it's illegal to install new ones) and they are train beds! and speaking of, there are also various train museums around japan including tokyo where you can go into all kinds of historic train cars. a JR museum might be good to show the power of public infrastructure (back when it was state owned).

Tomoko Horaguchi is the Revolutionary Communist League's elected representative in Tokyo, her ward has a lot of left-wing venues and events. Kumano dorm in Kyoto I believe is associated with Zengakuren and they have parties, but you would def need prior authorization to film there and they may not give it, same for Yoshida dorm which is an unaffiliated leftist dorm (hippy dippy anarchist leaning - also the dorm building is 100 years old). Also meeting up with the filmmakers of Revolution+1 (about Tetsuya Yamagami and released on the day of Abe's state funeral) is another option (I could help if needed). The director, Masao Adachi, also served with the PFLP in Lebanon. Also, Reiwa Shinsengumi might arguably be more left than JCP (certainly more so when it comes to civil rights issues) plus they have comedians involved so they might be good for stream (with an interpretor). Suidobashi Hakase is no longer an elected representative for them but he still does a podcast in support of them and I can help link up if needed. There's also Korea University in Kodaira, Tokyo, founded in the 50s and received funding from N. Korea until Kim Jong Il I believe, as well as similar K-12 schools and Chongryon Association. But if you want to go to an interesting place affiliated with JCP history, I'd recommend Salon de thé François in Kyoto, right by the river, which is a cafe founded in the 30s to support the JCP (back when they were more left wing, obviously) and the founders were arrested for this reason in 1937. It's really pretty and has great coffee. It is a registered tangible cultural property.

When people criticize the Oscars it’s never more than the nameless faceless group behind “The Academy”. If it’s gonna be a bigger thing, it can’t be all on the shoulders of one persons personal choices. I’ve seen both sides where people can’t see past her as the woman behind the curtain to even make fair critiques and where any criticism (“it’s just a circle jerk for her friends” vs evaluating how fan nominations actually work and/or can be better), but also well meaning suggestions/critiques gets spun from a critique of pervious shows Into an attack of QT’s current level of commitment and active work to improve those exact same things. It’s so unhealthy to be the only person at the center like that, of course it will all start to feel like a personal attack. I hope the audience will have the same separation (likely won’t be immediate but over time)

Austin obviously knows a lot but he doesn't necessarily articulate it that well sometimes (I actually researched him a while ago to see if he had worked at an airline previously because of what he was talking about. Funny because I kept getting results about a dead guy called Raj).
