Mass Effect 2 Part 3 | Jack and Grunt

Comments

Ooooo… thanks for this tip! I think we’re doing that now, at least sometimes so you should see that in future playthroughs.

There should be a button to quickly bring up the objective arrow, but not display the entire map. It's a great way to see where you're supposed to be going so you can go the opposite way instead to explore for loot. For example in the purgatory the corridor split in two. One was the supermax wing door that you did not explore (later you went trough that to free Jack) and other lead to the room where the warden wanted you to enter the open cell.

Planet scanning: no need to scan every planet. You can get enough minerals for all upgrades if you scan only the rich planets. Some planets do have N7 missions and these are worth doing as they're all unique unlike ME1 side missions. Some are short. Some are multi-part, but all are worth playing.

Regarding ship travel: dont worry about the fuel. It's not a big deal. Fuel is so cheap that you can easily top up every time you see a fuel depot. Same with buying probes. Later in the game you can upgrade the fuel and probe capacity to explore even further.

In terms of the ship navigation, like the first game, the Mass Relays will take you to specific Nebula's. However, unlike the first game, to get to the other star systems in that nebula, you have to spend fuel to fly over to those specific star systems. A lot of side content is locked behind those. And what was mentioned near the end, gathering your crew is what progresses the main story.

Sorry about that, won't happen again! 🤐 I know the rule and I figured it was "kinda" obvious, i mean, why create such distinct characters only to throw them away no matter what happens 🤔😅

Knoppis

Thank you everyone for all the help in the comments! 🙏🙂 Just going to reiterate the “no spoiler” rule. 🤫 I know it can happen on accident especially since this game is so much fun and we all get excited about it. Doesn’t seem like anything major was spoiled here so thank you for that, just a little tip toeing over the line hence the reminder. 🤐 Thank you again, we’re so grateful for your guidance on our Mass Effect journey. 💕

Bethany and Ken

Haha, thanks for suggesting that. Will try to remember going forward.

Bethany and Ken

Don’t spoil to much you guys lol, we’re all excited but dam… some of these comments giving the part of plot away

Chris

Also about focusing on gathering the crew, the entire story of this game is about gathering and preparing your team for what is meant to be a ‘suicide’ mission, so definitely explore other things first, otherwise you’ll burn through everything and miss a lot. Once you get them you can focus on loyalty, which will help overcome some of your concerns about not trusting or feeling as much of a connection as you did with the crew of ME1. Also definitely do the DLC’s to ME2, Arrival and Lair of the Shadow Broker are great, Project Overlord is kinda controversial in the community but I think you enjoy them all and they deepen the story going forward!

MC2001

Just a heads up. 'Loyalty' is going to VERY important going forward!

Remember to talk to EDI next to Joker, not just the random points through the ship. If you speak to the node next to Joker you learn a lot more about her, her perspective, and cerberus. It’s good to learn more about her, both for later in ME2 and certain parts of ME3 as the story develops!

MC2001

The mission on Horizon was one of the hardest missions for me when i played it. Especially on the harder difficulties. Wave after wave. Was maddening lol.

Mosh Mia

Btw, use the power or weapon select screens during combat to stop time and survey the surroundings. Might prevent the mass dying part that happened at Horizon that you guys cut out 😅

Knoppis

"Your getting shot you muppet!!! Dive for COVAH!!!" ~generic bandit banter, Fable II~ Man, watching this playthrough is giving me an itch to boot up the game myself and shoot some mother*******.

Knoppis

SPOILER: Actually, they do, you just gotta have them survive in ME2 and look for them in ME3

Knoppis

A few characters in this game like Zaeed are DLC characters and they only have a few interactions unlike the main squad and they sadly dont make a reapperance in ME3
