BTW, Mordin is one of the best written characters in the Mass Effect series and you will experience why.

2025-10-01 00:25:39 +0000 UTCGame Tip: Mass Effect 2 is more of a cover shooter than the previous game, so you want to find a good spot and engage. Then move up as you take care more enemies. Also, the Collector Assault Rifle is really bad, don't use it. Just wait until you can find something better. As for armor, you can either use a complete set, but will lack visual customization, or find different armor piece that give you a benefit that helps you in combat. Example: the Dragon Age armor you saw in one of the Omega Store is one of the best armors in the game, but you can't customize it.

IIRC people took issue, so Bioware added an option to cosmetically change your face regardless of if you go full Renegade. Anyway, I'm all caught up on the ME playthrough. :( What am I supposed to binge now?

When speaking with the others, you'll want to ask them all about upgrades at least once as each person has their own upgrade to offer, most of them being important to get, like how Jacob gave you the upgrade for your ship's armor. Garrus could have actually died there if his health bar in the bottom right depleted. The stakes of this game are much higher than the first. As you noticed, classes do have weapon restrictions. They did technically have them in ME 1, each class being better at certain weapons even if you could use them all. In the original Mass Effect, before Legendary Edition, the accuracy of weapons you weren't trained in was terrible, but they toned that down a lot with Legendary Edition. Solider is the only class that gets access to all weapons. Garrus is definitely best boy, I'm always so happy to see him. They definitely did better with him going forward in terms of writing. In the first game, it really felt like they only focused on romancable characters for writing and everyone else was more of filler. The games after that definitely do a lot better.

2025-09-26 13:13:02 +0000 UTCThe arc projector is close range weapon against mechs, you have to hold it down to use it. if its not fully charged when you release the attack it wont fire, cause science ;p Garrus can actually die in the mission, his vital signs are the yellow bar in the left hand corner if it got lowered you wouldve failed. this mission is somewhat hard in harder difficulties. The "Siding with Cerberus" options count towards your renegade points to so even the game knows they are the baddies lol

Also im not sure if you noticed yet your limited gun choices are because of your class, Soldier is the only one that has access to all weapons(zaeed's class and yours in ME1) every other one has a specific gun specialization, with infiltrator its sniper, pistol. it applies to the AI squad mates as well and makes it more of a challenge to know whats what.

2025-09-25 20:29:58 +0000 UTCGlad to see you guys having a good time :) just a few tips from what I've been observing of you guys's gameplay: Firstly: aim at the specific enemy you want to use a power on (or a squadmate's power on) select it, hit A, then release, using powers when you run low on ammo could save your life. Secondly: I would like to point out the imporance of weapon ranges and parts of the body of an enemy to hit: yes the sniper rifle may be powerful but it is VERY unreliable in close quarters combat, it is better to use your heavy pistol or submachine gun for those scenarios, always aim for headshots, no matter the weapon for maximum damage, or aim at their legs to stop specific enemies in place for a bit. Thirdly; as an infiltrator, you guys will want to often use the tacitcal cloak to reposition to a better position when you can use your sniper rifle to take out enemies, but be warned: you CANNOT heal when using it. Fourthly: I have to once again stress the importance of cover, you guys are wandering around like a headless chicken!!! (sometimes LITTERALLY, cause you guys keep getting your head shot off xD) Fifthly: if an enemy's healthbar is not red, then they are immune to certain powers and take A LOT more gun fire to bring down: use specific powers to deal with these "barriers" quickly: Like "Overload" on an enemy with a shield over their healthbar. Finally a warning: what I said before of characters dying: assume that ANY squadmate in this game has the potential of dying during the mission: Garrus included, take care of them, or the collectors will.
