2023-09-20 02:22:47 +0000 UTCthat dude is 100% being scammed. a) benefactor could venmo or send a money order to recipient. b) venmo requires a bank to withdraw. is she gonna spend all that money on venmo? c) a lot of banks often don't run credit checks to open a basic checking account because it doesn't give you a line of credit. d) there are non-bank check cashing places. she should use that. e) he is gonna be hit with gift taxes even if this was 100% legit.
