2025-09-10 18:03:56 +0000 UTCA little while back I told you guys (in the FMAB comments section) about one of my friends who passed away from cancer years ago and how I do an annual tribute for him. That same friend was someone who wanted to be a hero to others, and he idealized heroes for as long as I knew him (Ben 10 and Naruto specifically), and this episode and the commentary you both said at the end reminded me of him a whole lot. In the littlest ways, he showed up as a hero for his friends and family, and many times for me as well. After he passed, I remembered talking about him to my therapist (as I was going through trauma recovery), and she said something to me I'll never forget: Even after his death, he's still showing up for me as a hero, because he's reminding me that I am not alone and that our friendship is another reason for me to continue to stay on this planet. That really hit home for me and was a reminder that spectacular actions don't always make heroes, but it's the little things that they do, even after their time has passed. Such a beautiful episode, possibly one of the best in this season
