Man I just love this show for knowing when to place humor on top of suspense and action, just brilliant in every way! The Deep Sea King is actually my favorite villain of this season because of just how savage he is and just loves to play with his food. The end definitely set up the intensity of the next episode, and it will just get better from here on out

It’s always fun to see villains fight each other. Would have been interesting seeing Sonic fighting with his arsenal. Maybe he would managed to keep up with the evolved fish king.

2025-09-03 07:25:08 +0000 UTCOh yeah, just wanted to drop another reminder about those OVAs before we reach the season 1 finale. The only "official" means of watching them atm would be to buy the seasons on disc unfortunately. From what I can tell they ain't on any streaming service. They're not essential to the plot since they weren't part of the original webcomic or manga, but they're pretty fun side stories that gives ya more of the characters. Whether they're worth it or not is something I'll let ya'll decide.

2025-09-02 21:56:27 +0000 UTCNot fluent in Japanese so I don't know if this is entirely accurate or not, but I hear Puri Puri Prisoner's name is meant to be a reference to the Pretty Cure/Precure series. It's a show that's part of the same "magical girl" genre of anime that Ribrianne and Universe 2 from DBS was meant to parody. Puri Puri Prisoner is also a parody on that genre, especially with this transformation sequence here at (39:43).

2025-09-02 21:26:01 +0000 UTC52:00 Apparently his hero name is "All Back Man" because of his slicked back hairstyle (his hair is "all in the back"). The OPM encyclopedia says his hairstyle became his trademark ever since his high school girlfriend said it suits him. Since he's a Class C hero, he's just a regular human who's fairly good at hand to hand fighting.

Since there's been enough moments to suggest that he is and the fact that this idea isn't meant to be some big revelation, I think I'll just spell it out for ya and say that yes, Saitama's strength doesn't just lie in his punches. He was able to run fast enough to throw off Genos' modified vision during their sparring match and his legs were strong enough to shatter a roof just by jumping off a building to shatter the meteor. Since Saitama is just a regular guy who only obtained his power through pure strength training, he's not a martial artist that knows all sorts of elaborate techniques. Punches are just the most convenient way to hit something so he tends to stick with that in most scenarios.
