2025-09-04 18:59:02 +0000 UTCI have to agree with Hercule Pyro on that watching the character trailers and the teasers separately doesn’t actually help with showcasing the characters. ZZZ characters are supposed to feel more personal as both trailers and teasers are usually released not too far from each other. Because the setting compared to other Hoyo games is a bit more grounded and thus you really only get half of what of the characters are like in these videos. The other half, of course, you need to actually play the game’s story and try to get them through the Gacha system to know a little bit more

2025-09-03 01:24:37 +0000 UTCAhh theres a good batch here, I feel like you're missing a bit of context with the lack of Teaser trailer watching, would def recommend giving the teasers of these characters a watch if you can, there's also the PVs (music videos) for each character, hugos and Fufus are particularly good, a lot of visual story telling in them. Yixuan and Miyabi (who fought in Yixuans trailer) are the two canonically strongest characters in the game so far, the equivalent to the archons from genshin. Jufufu is definitely not cute but is in fact a fearsome intimidating tiger. Alice's whole thing is she's obsessed with symmetry, that final kick was because she defeated all the Ethereals in a perfectly symmetrical pattern, except that one wasn't in line with it. Its a bit of a silly gimmick but in game the voice actress absolutely sells how much she hates asymmetry.

All it showcases is that she's absolutely obsessed with Phatheon, which is the code name for the main characters, Belle and Wise. As hinted in Hugo's trailer, she is also a part of Hugo's faction, Mockingbird, who are a group of phantom thieves.

And yes, Phaethon is the name of the secret identity our main characters use. Because while what they do is necessary for people that need navigational help in the Hollows, they’re not under any jurisdiction while doing it, so it’s illegal. Because they have a goal in mind and the government is actually in the way, the secret identity is meant to give protection and freedom to help their allies only they know how.
