Ah this is good context for us regarding the Chairman, thank you!

Bethany and Ken

Things to clarify: Episode 4 - This episode revolves around Nessa, water-type gym leader and model. She's the second gym leader you battle in the games so she is stronger than Milo when you FIRST fight him. A thing to note is that gym leaders have one team specifically for gym challengers, and a second personal team, so even the first gym leader may stand a fighting chance against the eighth if they use their personal team. - Yes that ugly looking fish became a mermaid, just like in the Lockstin and Gnoggin videos and Bethany had mentioned, that Feebas evolving into Milotic is an Ugly Duckling reference. - Fun Fact, Feebas are NOTORIOUS throughout the Pokemon games for being the hardest to find water-type Pokemon. Originally the only way they could evolve was having a high beauty stat, but now they can evolve through being traded while holding an item called the Prism Scale. - The girl Nessa was talking to is Sonia, granddaughter to the professor of the region. She's a NEEEEERRRRRRDDDDD!!!!!! Episode 5 - This episode revolves around Oleana, Vice President and secretary to Chairman Rose. Although she's not a Gym Leader, she does specialize in Poison-Type Pokemon. - There's not too much to say about her to be honest, but despite how stoic and bored she looks, she really does everything for Chairman Rose on a professional and personal level. - That little Pokemon that Ken called ugly is Trubbish, and Oleana uses its evolved form, Garbodor and even Gigantimaxes it (after going batsh*t insane), which basically turns it into the over polluted Earth from Wall-E. Episode 6 - This episode revolves around Allister, the Ghost-Type Gym Leader and alternate Gym Leader to Bea, the Fighting-Type Gym Leader you saw earlier. Depending on the game you bought, you will fight Allister in Shield and Bea in Sword. Despite not existing in the same games, in the anime, Allister and Bea have a sibling like dynamic where Bea is the big sister to her shy little brother. - Fun Fact, Allister has a surprisingly large fanbase, especially with the female audience, even more so when they revealed his face.

I think a series like this really highlights that the Pokemon world is a lot more than what we see in the games. Compared to our own world, while there may be lots of monsters running around, it really does come off as a much kinder world. So long as you ignore the occasional criminal organization running around. If you're getting bad vibes from Chairman Rose - good, you definitely should be. He's a case of humanity's hubris I feel, a person who ends up a villain for the sake of the greater good. And he's also just kind of an overall creep, despite his good intentions. Though I feel there may be some other forces at play when it comes to Rose, especially due to his ties to the otherworldly, poisonous legendary Eternatus, which you've seen in a couple previous videos. I doubt spending too much time around that thing does good things to a person.

Nessa is definitely one of the prettiest Gym Leaders that left quite the first impression when they were revealed. And yes, Feebas’s evolution into Milotic is supposed to be a fun twist of the story of the Ugly Duckling. Lockstin actually mentions this in his Water type video. Oleana definitely leads a very overpacked life, but the reason she keeps doing it is because Chairman Rose saw her potential and she’s been grateful to him ever since. They never showed it in this series, but she actually has a very scary side to her where she can get very angry to the point of her her hair going haywire. And you remember that little green looking Pokémon in the lab? That’s Trubbish. A trash bag Pokémon. That’s her Ace Pokémon because it reflects her trash personality when it comes to anything that goes against her or Chairman Rose. Something you should know about the e Ghost Type Gym Leader, Allister. He’s actually who you can fight against in Pokémon Shield. Because in Pokémon Sword, you fight the karate girl, Bea instead. It’s one of those things Game Freak does to make the 2 versions have different stuff.
