Even though he's naturally strong being a Saiyan and all, he still had to work for that strength, one thing I appreciate out of this franchise.

As you can see Beth and Ken, Goku really, really worked super hard for his power. What he has become today in fiction is just so well deserved. Nothing came easy to him and you're going to see more and more why Goku is so inspirational and why he inspires real life athletes or martial artists. He is nothing like Superman in that regard, Goku has had to do sooo much ground work but yes if you wanna trigger a Dragon Ball fan just say those words lol. How cool too that this very lesson is what Whis successfully taught him. Which made Goku go Ultra Instinct. I also think Upa is hard competition in the adorable meter against baby Goku and Arale 🤗

Like you mentioned before alot of what we see of roshi is him being the "pervy sage" so its pretty unbelievable that he is what people claim Lol I found it funny how it also sort of went past you guys that Roshi is 300+ years old, guessing you already knew but its funny you didnt comment

2025-08-19 19:44:33 +0000 UTC30:16 There it is, the first Senzu Bean of the series. A bit of trivia: the word “Senzu” on its own is Japanese for “sage bean” or “hermit bean”. So, the dub’s way of saying it technically reads as “hermit bean bean”. But keeping as just senzu probably doesn’t translate as well over to an English audience, so I get why they’ve kept it that way.

2025-08-19 19:22:27 +0000 UTCKorin’s training is where I believe that Goku’s path to Ultra Instinct truly begins. His grandfather and Roshi taught him to fight good, sure. But Korin taught Goku the importance of anticipating an opponent’s actions and not wasting his movement. Conditioning that one would need to even begin tapping into Ultra Instinct. The DBS manga acknowledges this outright. In case ya don’t remember, the manga version of the T.o.P had Roshi teach Goku Ultra Instinct. He encourages Goku to recall the lessons of his former masters: Korin – “Too much wasted movement. That’s why you run out of breath quickly.” King Kai – “Wanna be the best in the universe? The you gotta train not just your body, but also your spirit!” Whis – “Don’t allow your mind to control your movement. Every part of your body must judge and act on its own.” There’s one more lesson among these recollections, but I can’t speak on that.
