Something I always hated about that 3rd episode with the boy, Hop. He is the rival of the player in the Generation 8 games. After you beat him a lot towards the end of the game he does actually replace his Wooloo in his team for a while when he starts getting desperate. He goes back and understands it was a mistake before the league but I always thought that was really sad

There's also a side prequel short that you should watch as well, but I can't remember its name. I'm sure someone else knows what it's called!

Because Bea has a very big sweet tooth, but since she was so focused on training, she didn’t want any distractions. Machop was just trying to remind her to always have room for her greatest pleasures.

2025-08-18 03:32:50 +0000 UTCWooloo is a pure Normal type Pokémon. Just simple sheep with a lot of wool. And when it evolves into Dubwool is just looks like a soccer ball with horns. If there’s one advantage to having a normal type on the team, it’s that their only weakness is fighting type Pokémon. Everything else they can take pretty well (depending on its stats at least) The downside is that that they aren’t super effective against anything, so what you dish out is the same for every type. Here’s the thing about all Pokémon. They can learn moves of other elemental types, so they’re not restricted to what they are. It just depends on the Pokémon and if the programmers make them good or not.

2025-08-17 18:12:21 +0000 UTCThings to clarify: Episode 1 - So this all takes place in Generation 8 in the Galar region, based off the UK. - In this region, gym battles and the Pokemon League are all treated as a sport in this region where there are stadiums packed full of fans. - Chairman Rose is the chairman of the Pokemon League and president of Marco Cosmos, the energy corporation of Galar. He cares very much about the Galar region. Almost too much sometimes.... Next to him is his secretary Oleana and Vice President of Marco Cosmos. Episode 2 - The protagonist of this episode is Bea, the Fighting-type Gym Leader of this region. - Where she is training is known as the Wild Zone, a huge area in the middle of Galar that has many natural habitats for Pokemon and where the weather changes can change drastically regardless of season. - Depending on the game, if you have Sword, you will battle Bea, but if you have Shield, you'll fight the Ghost-type Gym Leader. You'll see him in a future episode. - It's nice to see Bea's perspective against Leon, because in the games we normally see Leon's rival as the Dragon-type Gym Leader. Episode 3 - The protagonist of this episode is Wooloo, Hop's first Pokemon even before he get his regional starter Pokemon. - The gentle giant guy who helps Wooloo is Milo, the Grass-type Gym Leader and first Gym Leader you fight in the games. - Don't worry about Wooloo, these little guys bump into everything when they're rolling everywhere, they're very durable. - It's nice to see Wooloo getting some love, in the games, Hop really does take it to the Pokemon League and it even evolves. So you can probably guess that Twilight Wings are referring to Corviknight. Their jobs are never done.

2025-08-17 17:52:20 +0000 UTCOne thing to note about Chairman Rose. He’s actually the villain of this generation. But everyone don’t think he’s a very good one. This short series shows more personality than the games ever did. I get the feeling his development in the games story got shafted for other parts of the game, so the role he’s given in the story feels very half-assed.

It being based on Great Britain might not be accurate to the real world location one for one, but the theme of sports being very prominent is definitely accurate. That’s how Pokémon battles are treated in this land. And that Wooloo episode just plucked my goddamn heartstrings ❤️🔥
