Oh wow, that is an interesting idea and a crazy thing to layer in for the characters to deal with as they interact with the homunculi.

Thank you!

Bethany and Ken

It is definitely keeping us hooked!

Bethany and Ken

Ah okay, so that's how it works. Well we saw a lot more than 20-30 people hanging off the Envy evolution, he must have hundreds, so probably safe to assume these guys can regenerate many times before being in any real danger.

Bethany and Ken

Oh yay, love it when we're in good hands!

Bethany and Ken

Oooooo, a sibling theory, sounds believable!

Now that y’all see this episode my original question from last episode was that “I realize ed dad was in the forest so who alphonse going to meet in the city?” Uncle? If so why didn’t he realize he have any nephews. Maybe bad blood between brothers

Don't worry about being confused, the show will do a good explanation of how alchemy works and the different variants. The show is very well written and the author really goes into detail about it. It is pretty early but I do want to mention the series she made after FMA, being Silver Spoon about a city kid going to a agriculture College and how detailed it is. So you are fine when it comes to Arakawa's works.

21:30 Yeah a Homunculi can die if they regenerate too much. It's because their Philosopher's stone being their core is made from human sacrifices so every time a Homunculi heals a fatal wound or regenerates an entire part of their body they're essentially "using up" a life inside their stone, kind've like 1ups in a videogame. It's how Mustang was able to kill Lust. We don't know how many lives the Homunculi have but if trying to keep count how many times Gluttony has been "killed" up to this point, his stone has 20-30 lives.

I know I said this 1000 times already, but THIS is the Greed I remembered before watching this show with you guys. When you guys first met Ling a few months ago, I was like “Wait a minute…that’s Greed!” But then I realized that was before his transition, which was this episode. At least I know how Ling became Greed cause beforehand I just assumed Ling was always Greed the whole time (lacking full context of the show back then). But anyways you guys are gonna love him, way better than the last Greed, even though he was badass too. And one thing that you gotta give credit for this show is how each episode (for the most part) finds a way to top the previous episode, keeping you hooked and engaged to find out what happens the next episode

Don't worry about having questions about the world as this series goes on, the story is very well written and doesn't leave you hanging on the details. Sometimes they make you wait for the answer, but they will make sure it's answered in due time.

I personally prefer the Sam Luff cover more, but Idk if there's spoilers in that one so I won't be posting it

Great episode with a lot questions that will be answered soon 😌. Also don’t worry about the 1st Fullmetal Alchemist show that preceded this one. The other show starts out the same as this one but around halfway through, the story deviates and goes in a completely different direction. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is basically a remake of the show that is 100% accurate to the source material (manga).

1. The little girls name is May Chang 2. It is explained in canon why they can use it but not Ed and Al. If I took a rough estimate I’d say 10-12 episodes but I’m not 100% on that

Now that you’ve seen how homunculi are made in this show, I wanna talk about the original 2003 version that diverted from the manga. In that series, they caught up with the source material, and this was back when anime released around the year without seasonal breaks. So they couldn’t stop the show, so they made filler episodes. They ended up referencing that filler and creating little storylines, to the point they decided to just create their own show for the most part. One of the most interesting parts of that version, is that a homunculus isn’t a product of a human having a stone put in them. In that version, they’re created when someone tries to bring someone back from the dead. The person you tried to bring back, would become the homunculus . This was a pretty neat idea. Teacher’s passed child grew up and became wrath. Lust was Scar’s dead sister in law. While I like this brotherhood’s more, it was still a really cool idea!

You don't have to be a genius to notice that the so-called father clearly has god complex REMINDER and at the same time a small clarification, the philosopher's stones are created from the souls of people living he doesn't directly create them but gives them in this case, as envy said, he tried to create a human-based homunculus

Hey guys! Here’s an English cover of this opening. I included the version with lyrics as the little music video doesn’t have spoilers for this one. You will see a girl with silver hair and you might think “who’s that”? That is Amanda Lee’s OC (original character) that she drew up for these videos for fun, so it’s not a spoiler. https://youtu.be/Sc1gwRnSVzY?si=UZ9VDoUJenOzYriu
