Thank you for this information!

Under Night In-Birth is actually a series you saw in that anime crossover game. Blazblue Cross Tag Battle. The one that had the RWBY characters in it. It's another anime fighter that was pretty much hidden until that crossover game and now a lot more people know about it. Pretty much not gonna be something you'd easily find unless you're deep into Anime Fighters. Honestly, as someone that found it because of the Crossover, I'm happy it's now getting support and it's journey can continue. And why I'm so persistent about you two checking out Namco X Capcom one day. Crossovers are just really cool to me.

Most of the reactors that got in that Marvel Tokon video were all people highly associated with the FGC. And have extensive experience with Marvel fighting games. Especially since Marvel vs Capcom Infinite was such a huge failure in the public’s eyes. So you wouldn’t have gotten picked either way.

2 bits of info about the Armor King trailer. 1. The green mist he spewed out is a common dirty tactic used in Japanese wrestling called “Poison Mist”. Meant to blind the opponent and do whatever dirty move they want. He is a Heel wrestler after all. Heels being the bad guys of wrestling stories. 2. To give refresher of his lore. Armor King’s revenge is not towards King, but someone that is friends with King. The first King was killed in Tekken 3 by Ogre. King II, which is the one we have, was trained by the first Armor King to honor the original King’s legacy. But then Armor King got killed by someone called Marduk (remember the big beefy guy that was partners with King in Street Fighter X Tekken). King II initially wanted to kill Marduk to avenge his master, but knew that doing so would make himself just as bad. So he just beat Marduk 2 times and they became friends. Then this new Armor King shows up, attacks Marduk in a locker, then leaves. It’s later revealed this Armor King is the brother of the old one. So Armor King II wants revenge on Marduk by killing him. And King II wants to stop him because he doesn’t want him to end up on the same path he was on before.

Virtua Fighter actually is the first 3D fighting game. It’s what inspired many other fighters like Tekken, Dead or Alive, and a whole bunch more. The reason you don’t really hear about it that much is because you two aren’t involved with FGC (Fighting Game Community). Virtua Fighter doesn’t really go for anything crazy or flashy like Tekken. It’s just pure martial arts fighting with a side of some crazy stuff. It’s a fighting game for pure fighting game fans. Hence why are some Tekken fans are celebrating its return. Tekken has been screwing up apparently, so many in the FGC want Tekken to have some proper competition in the 3D space to make them actually try to do better.

Fight Night Friday repeated vouch: The Complete History of Tekken Crossovers https://youtu.be/t0jN__ijCdE?si=PS94l0iUcSb6rUdx Namco X series https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLhDcJRCci7AyF4FAFSqWRR-8TF4eNV7aZ&si=PAAhMGCpbDtqwdBN Just gonna state this again, I don’t expect the whole playlist to be done. Just to look at the first game.

Virtua Fighter is a very old fighting game series from 1993. It was huge in the past and is the game that inspired Tekken to be a thing. The last game they had was Virtua Fighter 5 which was over 20 years ago. The 1st trailer you saw was for Virtua Fighter 5 REVO which is basically an updated version of an old game on new systems. The 2nd vid with the “New Virtua Fighter Project” is a brand new game they are making after 20+ years and the video was the 1st gameplay we’ve seen of it (which is why it didn’t have any music, voices, or fancy stages yet). Virtua fighter is mainly people with real fighting styles fighting each other (which is why it doesn’t look as flashy or crazy). Tekken also used to be this way but they definitely went in the flashier and crazier direction with Tekken 8. So for a lot of people, Virtua Fighter is gonna be a breathe of fresh air and a return to simply regular combat.

I feel like Armor King's trailer was fairly longer than the usual Tekken 8 character trailer because the game's really been going through it for the past few months (since Season 2 started). Won't go into it in too much detail bc it consists of reasons you two probably wouldn't get, but the changes season 2 have made to the game's balancing and meta have had the Tekken community in a frenzy. A frenzy so bad the devs made a public apology regarding the reception.

Not someone's who's played Virtua Fighter for myself, but I'm knowledgeable enough to tell ya this much about it: It's a fighting game series developed and published by Sega, with the first entry being released in 1994 back on the Sega Saturn. It's the first 3D fighting game ever released, predating the likes of Tekken, Soul Calibur, etc. From my understanding, it's not nearly as popular as other 3D fighters cause it's more technical gameplay-wise and it focuses on substance over style. It stands out from other big fighting game series because Virtua Fighter characters tend to be pretty grounded in comaparison.

Omg I was hoping for this 🙏

19:36 It ain't the first Marvel fighting game, but it's the first one that's looked promising in looong time. Since MvC Infinite was such a travesty in the eyes of many, the last time a "good" Marvel fighter was released would be with MvC 3 back in 2011. Perhaps these have been recommended before, but here's a couple vids if ya two ever wanna learn more about the deal with MvC Infinite https://youtu.be/Jk2WiXMNALk?si=yXvdHIvt9s5R1ucV https://youtu.be/0NY5pxb7iCI?si=6z4jNGGVdOzpRKLa It's also worth noting that Marvel Tokon was revealed at a State of Play that really hadn't featured too many "hype" reveals, so it damn near saved the showcase from being a total wash for those of us who like to stay tuned in the news cycle of these things and make a point to watch these events as soon as they go live. To my knowledge, nobody had an Arc Sys developed Marvel game on their bingo card, so it was quite the surprise . Not telling ya all of this as if to say "you should've been more excited", just trying to explain why this was such a big deal (especially for FGC content creators).

15:42 And with that, the sound of a rushing waterfall of Edgerunners fans' collective PTSD induced tears can be heard.

JT

Here it is. Thought ya'll were just gonna send this straight to YT.
