Wow... what a story! Sad for the Vtuber if they were not a part of it and didn't know it was happening. As for the corporate entity behind the talent, this is sadly not an original story as we hear about this kind of greed occurring all the time and it never gets easier to hear about. Such a betrayal of the fans. And to what you said here, "Just goes to show the ones who want to appear a certain way to the public will try to do everything they can to maintain it until it slips." Very well said! That is the danger of living inauthentically in a public facing role. Living a fake life or adopting a fake persona to look good when it is not who you authentically are has a way of getting found out, especially the more eyes there are watching you.

2025-08-03 16:35:02 +0000 UTCRegarding your Genshin journey, there’s 2 things I want to confirm. 1. Send confirmation in the form of an emote on Discord that you received the Version 3 playlist. 2. If you have the Version 3 playlist, I urge that you do not skip the first 2 videos being the cutscene and the story teaser. As the cutscene is to help connect what the story teaser is about, while the story teaser itself helps connect into the first quest of Version 3. And you haven't seen the latter in about 2 years, so it'll be a good refresher.

Just recently, an organization that one of my favorite VTubers is a part of got found out doing very scumbag finance decisions including not paying their talents, and stealing money from a charity. To clarify, the VTuber didn't do anything wrong. The higher ups of the organization were doing the shady stuff. The worst part of that whole truth being revealed, was that they prided themselves on being "Talents First, corporation second". So all that good faith was burned down to the ground in less than a week. Just goes to show the ones who want to appear a certain way to the public will try to do everything they can to maintain it until it slips.
