Yay, love this fun fact, neither of us had picked up on it but now that we know we can totally hear it!

Agreed!

Agreed! The tragedy is that a normal citizen he didn't receive the justice he sought and without any explanation, and I can imagine that would drive a person crazy especially while drowning in such grief. Scott wasn't given the additional information that could have helped him to understand why no one was willing to go after Invincible so it just felt like corruption or laziness on the part of the people who were supposed to look out for citizens. But he then got that information through working on the GDA and nothing changed. I think that's likely the fork in the road that sets him down the villain path because that is the moment when new knowledge should have taken him off it but did not, he was too hell bent on his vengeance for anything to make him deviate from that course. And you are 100% correct, Jack is the innocent and total victim in the situation who did not deserve his fate. I'll admit I am surprised that Scott's wife went down the same villain path as her husband and never seemed to question his choices but rather cheered him on and was willing to risk everything to aid him in his vengeance, even the life of their child.

Agreed, the writers really tackled a lot, and did so successfully because it's a great journey!

Bethany and Ken

Yeah she was motivating him. She never told him to stop and was the one to plan the fake kidnapping bait scene to lure Invincible.

This is more of a head cannon thing for me, but I love the character psychology of Powerplex for these reasons... he has no choice but to blame Invincible for everything because if he doesn't, he'll think that his sister and niece's death has no point to it and that he'll hate himself for the death of his own family. He doesn't want his sister and niece's death to be for nothing nor does he want to hate himself for the fact that he indirectly killed his family, so he's gonna redirect his anger, grief, etc. on Invincible and it's going to be all his fault simply because he was there, even though he KNOWS that it's not.

This season has had a lot of meanings and things you dont think about. From the little guys having nothing to lose because the world isnt fair, people breaking from loss and going for revenge, ptsd of being a super hero, dating a super heros mom and coming into their lives and trying to relate compared to haveing no powers and dating a super hero.

Oh yeah, this episode was a lot. I did feel sorry for Scott at first, as all he wanted was justice for what happened to his sister and niece. He went through all of the legal channels to try and find some peace. If he were a regular civilian, I could understand him going off the deep end. However, the fact that he worked at the GDA and had access to the same footage and intel about Nolan's fight with Mark and he was still convinced the Mark killed all of the people in their fight along with his sister and niece means that he had already made up his mind. He was so blinded by rage that he lost sight of what he already had and in doing so, he became what he hated and killed his wife and child in the process. Delusional or not, he is a complete hypocrite and I have no sympathy for him whatsoever after what he's done. He still has the audacity to blame invincible for killing his wife and child when he's the one who killed them. The wife was also terrible as Scott considered stopping, but she kept egging him on. Like, imagine your last words are calling the person trying to save you and your child a monster. The only person I felt sorry for was their son Jack, he didn't deserve such a gruesome fate and he deserved better parents. The thing about powerplex is that you are right, he would absolutely justify any collateral damage or killing of innocent people and blame it on Invincible. I have no doubt that if he found out Mark's identity and found his mother or anyone else he loved or cared about he would justify hurting or killling them and telling Mark that he's the reason they were killed.

“HE CANT KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS”

Cole MacGrath

Only one I felt bad for is Jack.

Rinnzu Rosendale

I feel like his wife was being an enabler. The only person I truly feel bad for is the baby. Having a crazy dad and a mom who’s enabling him is just terrible

Carlo

Hey what’s Jesse doing in this show? Where’s Mr. Walt?

Yoshitsune92

Fun fact the voice of Power Plex is Arron Paul / Jessi Pinkman from Breaking Bad.
