2025-07-23 05:40:21 +0000 UTCBefore you guys move on to Sumeru (the next nation) I highly an I mean HIGHLY recommended you go through the manga. For some of the information in it is vital for understanding certain characters and their motivations. It takes place before the game begins and has important information for Sumeru, that does get referenced in the main story. This YouTuber, named Ahrin, does a good job of summarizing each chapter. He does it in 7 videos and each video being around 5 minutes long it's something that won't take up much of your time but I think will be worth it. 2025-07-17 18:38:02 +0000 UTCJust want to clarify this about Mavuika’s trailer. Neither her or the people in included in her trailer are actual musicians/vocalists. Like I said before, they really wanted the Pyro Archon’s trailer to be very special, which not only includes what specific day to release the trailer or what singer got to do the song. Anime music videos are so integrated into the culture of anime, this was going to be popular no matter what. The fact that a lot of people love it is just a good bonus for them. So think of like the “rule of cool” for awesome scenes that don’t make sense when you think about it. Except replace “cool” for “anime”. Rule of Anime. They did the trailer that way because they wanted to. Hoyoverse’s development teams are a bunch of Otakus after all (Otaku is basically huge nerds for anime stuff)

2025-07-16 00:56:31 +0000 UTCSome brief summarys of the chars you met today Ororon (4*): Orphan with a gift for seeing souls, also an avid vegetable farmer Chasca (5*): Cowgirl with a flying gun, raised by wolves Citlali(5*): A youthful old lady, affectionately referred to as Granny by Ororon, very wise and skilled sage, likes to drink and read books amongst her pillows (shes like, 200 years old) Mavuika(5*): The pyro archon! Has a giant flaming motorbike that can fly, what more to know? Lanyan(4*): A girl from liyues Chenyu Vale, specialises in crafting talismans to ward off dangerous spirits. Mizuki(5*): A yokai psychologist who runs a Spa where she treats her clients, old friends/rivals with Yae Miko - specialises in entering dreams. Iansan(4*): Small in stature but strong in will, coach of her tribe and one of Mavuikas closest allys. Varesa(5*): Iansans prized pupil, has a love of food but dons a Luchador mask to gain the confidence to utilize her true strength against evil. Ifa(4*): Local vet and bro, his bro Cucucu has been trained to speak, believe it or not Ifas the one carrying Cucucu when they fly. Is Ororons Bro. Says Bro a lot, bro. Escoffier(5*): Renowned chef from Fontaine, can be quite critical, specialises in cold cooking and has a robotic tail to assist her - fun fact: her va is english but doesn't use her natural accent, we were this close to Genshin Gordan Ramsay! Dahlia (4*) - Deacon at the Mondstadt Church of Barbados, coincidentally good friends with Tone Deaf Bard Venti... and yes, he does enact surprise baptisms. Skirk (5*) - A legendary fighter, mentor of Fatui agent Childe, her limbs are artificially created by her own power. Doesn't use a vision. I recommend checking out the various Teasers for the 5* characters (4 star ones don't have them) as they delve a little more into their character and backstory.

2025-07-15 22:33:33 +0000 UTCAnd now we got to one of my all time favorite characters, Mavuika! ❤️🔥 Her design! Her gameplay! And her role in the story of Natlan! Which will be the 6th region you’ll visit. I just love her so much! And there’s 2 big reasons I absolutely love her trailer as well: 1. Her music is sung by Chrissy Constanza. Her best known works are “Hero Too” for My hero Academia. “Phoenix” for League of Legends. She actually also sings for “Rivals Til the End” for Marvel Rivals. Her vocals are just SO ICONIC and recognizable that when she started singing, I had the biggest smile on my face. And I just have a big thing for songs that involve with rising up and/or working with others. 2. Hoyoverse wanted to make Mavuika’s trailer as special as possible. Because not only is she alternate universe counterpart to a beloved character from Honkai Impact 3rd (Himeko), but her trailer was released RIGHT as 2024 was ending. Very fitting for the Pyro Archon. So Ken, you picked a freaking winner in my eyes, and I’m glad you didn’t riff on the music like for some of the WuWa trailers.

2025-07-15 19:18:56 +0000 UTCGame meta wise, in terms of characters, Ken won super big. Mavuika and Skirk are by far the two strongest DPS in the game without much competition. And on top of that, he got Escoffier and Iansan who are also two top tier supports. Escoffier being basically the best teammate to maximize Skirk's damage output. Bethany on the otherhand did get characters on the lower end of the scale, but that's not to say she didn't strike gold. Varessa is still within the Top 5 DPS in the game right now and Chasca is not far behind the Top 5. Citlali is also one of the best supports and one of Mavuika's best teammates who Ken ended up getting. In terms of actual characters, many characters from this set are some of my favorites in general so I very much so looking forward to seeing you guys get to the point in the story when you meet them.
