Thanks for letting us know!

Giovanni's story is actually quite interesting. In the games, we never get much of a reason for why Giovanni is as cruel as he is, aside from greed. His backstory is never explored - but when you look at it in a more meta context, it does make sense. It's less of a story of a hero against the villain, the mob boss in this case - and more of a story about youth vs growing up. This series helped add some context to Giovanni's story going forward in later games. In the sequel, Giovanni does follow through and leaves Team Rocket behind. They attempt to regroup, to bring Team Rocket back for round 2, but Giovanni doesn't answer their call and it all goes under for them. In a flashback sequence, we learn he also left behind his son as well, leaving behind any and all legacy - and while being a deadbeat isn't a good thing, he at least wanted to separate his life of crime from his son so he could live a normal life, and Giovanni was so deeply entrenched that his family would undoubtedly suffer if he stuck around, even after leaving Team Rocket. We can meet Giovanni in the 5th generation games Black and White 2, roughly 15 years after the events of the first pokemon games, and while Giovanni is still stern and menacing, he isn't doing anything evil - he's competing in a tournament along with other gym leaders, following his passion for pokemon battles. Though, in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon we can see a much darker path. The post game story shows what would happen if Red never went on a pokemon journey, and never stopped Giovanni - with Mewtwo at his beck and call, he lays claim to the whole world, and unsatisfied with that, his greed pushes him to travel to other dimensions and invade their worlds as part Team Rainbow Rocket. Compared to other villains in the Pokemon series, which often have plans with planetary or possibly universal consequence, Giovanni doesn't seem so bad at first, more like a mob boss than a super villain, and yet this possible timeline shows just so bad sheer greed can go. As said by Team Plasma leader Ghetsis; "that man, the leader of Team Rocket, is a man of pure evil!" with the potential to "reign supreme above all existence!"

Yellow electric type was a Jolteon. An Eevee evolution, that happens when giving a thunder stone to an Eevee. Same with Flareon (fire type Eeveelution) and Vaporeon (water type Eeveelution).
