So the whole thing about the "bird", is that it's setting up the next act of the story. It was mentioned that the fatui's machine drew on the power of a god, and based on the conversation with the "bird" it's very much implied that she is in fact that god. She's not actually a bird but rather watching from a "birds eye view". There was a symbol that showed up at the end that showed up, that was the symbol for Dendro which is basically the nature element. She watches you through the land, the bird was just a metaphor.

Just gonna say this now. The mysterious person in the end is not the bird from Mona’s cutscene. When the person called themselves a bird, it was more of metaphor/symbol for what their current predicament is. Ken actually would have an inkling as to who they could be when he mentioned an Archon of dreams. Remember, Archons are just the titles of the 7 gods that rule the nation of Teyvat. Not all gods are Archons. And biggest reveal as who the mysterious person was actually when the Traveler was walking near the water and a flash of a green symbol appeared. If you were playing the games, that green symbol would the familiar symbol element of Dendro, meaning the plant element. All but confirming that the mysterious person to be the Dendro Archon. And reminder that the machine the Fatui built was based on their powers. So that was also a hint as to their identity. The Dendro Archon is also known as “The God of Wisdom”. We’ll see if you can know who they are if you see them in person.

My personal rankings for each Mirage: 1. Xinyan Always being true to herself and never letting others dictate what she should be or be doing. And I just really liked how she looked in her cutscene. 2. Fischl Her Chuunibyou antics can be a bit much in short sequences, but she’s still the more entertaining of the group by far. And seeing her come to terms with her darker side and live with it is a good message for those struggle with self-worth. 3. Kazuha Very classic Asian tale of clans and ruin. But the freedom to see the world and forge your own destiny is a pretty good path. 4. Mona Not too much into astrology and fortune telling, but I do like Mona herself. And her personality is just fun to watch clash/interact with others.
