Seriously! 😭

Bethany and Ken

Thank you for these suggestions!

Bethany and Ken

There should be but thank you for pointing out that it appears to be missing. We'll double check our content library and be sure to upload it if we still do not see it there.

Red & Blue are repitilian/DNA as well as color themed so often the towns/cities are named after colors.

As they’ve said, it’s just a fun theory older fans came up with. Knowing Blue and always wanting to be better than you, the protagonist, he just replaced the Raticate for something stronger.

AlexThat200

Fun fact, in Fire Red and Leaf Green (and presumably Red and Blue as well) we might actually kill a pokemon from Blue's team. He has a raticate during the battle on the SS Anne, and then we see him in Lavender Town next. We battle him in the Tower and he has no raticate. I guess this is just a fan theory though since there is no confirmation. Maybe he just didnt want to use a raticate anymore. Who knows.

Will there be a full episode version of this?

Enchiladas

The anime doesn't always depict everything 100% like the lore of the Pokedex.

Mr Fuji was actually just giving general advice to Red, no implications about sinister intentions was intentional. It was just a “Hey if you don’t actually care about Pokèmon and what it takes to learn about them then completing the Pokèdex will be hell”

Team Rocket are basically this world's version of the Mafia. They will commit any sort of crime involving Pokemon and are the standard evil team of a kids show. HOWEVER. In the main anime, 3 specific Team Rocket members are a series staple and fan favorites for over 2 decades. You'll know who they are if you ever take a look at the main anime. But that segways into something I want to suggest. I know I mentioned going into the main anime after this series, but there's actually 2 other mini series that would be better to see first. - Pokemon Evolutions - Twilight Wings. - Hisuian Snow Pokemon Evolutions is basically the same thing as Generations, where moments from the games are brought to life in animation. But it does the opposite of Generations, where it goes from Gen 8 to Gen 1. So showing important moments backwards in time. Also, they finally added the girl protagonists in those scenes. So if you see a character, but you can't see their eyes and/or don't say any words, they're the protagonists of that Generation you play as. Twilight Wings is just about Gen 8, and what life is like in the Galar region. Hisuian Snow is set in the ancient times of Pokémon. Back when Humans and Pokémon were more distant from each other.

So if a Cubone is wearing the skull of its dead mother, but that Marowak was alive at the same time, then whose skull was it wearing? Ever wonder why we never hear about a Cubone's dad?

Pyrodragon3993

All Cubones have the same tragic backstory of losing a mother. Because the skulls they are wearing are their dead mothers. Now you most likely are questioning how that's the case if we saw the mother alive beforehand in the flashback. Unfortunately, that's on GameFreak for making up lore like that before any sort of anime came into being. They had no idea Pokemon would blow up so much when it first released, so it's just a matter of doing whatever they wanted without knowing if a sequel would ever happen.

AlexThat200

Such a sad story for Cubone. It's not 100% confirmed but it is implied by lore that Cubone wheres it's mother's skull on it's head :( And yea the show is only 4 eps so they had to speed through few things. Most importantly, he beat Misty (the gym leader of the water gym) and lieutenant Surge (the gym leader of the electric gym) and got their badges.

Kami_Psy

CUBONE, the most tragic pokemon in the first generation.
