While he did not direct/write for any of them, the stories they tell ain't too far removed with the stuff he'd come up with. The Adventure of Dai didn't have any involvement from Toriyama, but it's still a fun watch imo. I'd also like to take things further with a couple other of Toriyama's works: Sand Land - I've brought this up here and there, but Sand Land is yet another manga that was made by Toriyama. It received a Hulu exclusive anime last year, which was then adapted into a game lol. It's still playable on Xbox through backwards compatibility, and ya can nab it for like $5 if ya wait for a sale. Due to the game's age and not having played it myself (yet), I can't really give you two any trailers or thoughts on it. I... uhh.. like a lot of stuff Toriyama was involved with. Don't know if ya could tell.

2025-07-04 10:27:05 +0000 UTCThat's the thing about OG Dragon Ball in my humble opinion that beats most of Z, Super, etc. It knew when to be relaxing and calm. Some of these filler episodes are the comfiest episodes on the planet! During the pandemic it was all Animal Crossing & OG DB for me all day hehe

I must say i CANNOT wait til they get to the juicy stuff! They will be totally thrown off lol

(I love Dragon Ball and the RR has some great moments going forward but it definitely is the longest saga and has a lot more filler than the rest of the series)

Dr Flappe here was created by Toei long before Toriyama had come up with Gero in the manga, so the question of who exactly created Eighter was still up in the air when this episode was produced. In the title page for Dragon Ball chapter 367, Gero is credited as being the creator of every RR Army android (that being Androids 1 - 20)

2025-07-03 20:19:48 +0000 UTCOf the several filler episodes in OGDB, this one is one my favorites. Murasaki is never seen again after the Muscle Tower arc, and Suno and Eighter aren't seen way until they share energy for Goku's Spirit Bomb in the Buu Saga. It's cool to get more screentime for them.
