This episode really showed how pathetic the new guardians of the globe are. To be bested by the mauler twins it would of been different it they put up a fight but they just go tossed like a grocery bag in the wind

For starters, the opening was great showing those two villains and how they didn't really want to be villains, but it was the only good financial option. They tried working at regular jobs but things didn't turn out so well. Which shows that the world isn't completely black and white when it comes to things like this and how similar this is to the real world. You were spot on about Oliver, he doesn't hold back which is something he will need to learn. His mentality is also interesting, he's the child of two alien races that are complete polar opposites. On one side you have his mother who is a Thraxxan, they grow and develop quickly but live short lives and are fragile overall. They do not conquer because they live short lives and only look forward to the future because of it. Then you have his father who is a Viltrumite, they live long and slow lives and are powerful beings overall with the mentality that they are superior to all other lifeforms. People tend to forget that Oliver isn't human so his way of thinking initially is going to be different from ours. The other thing is because of his Mother's side, his brain developed more quickly than a regular human's, meaning he remembered everything that happened on Thraxxa. He remembers his mother and father, their conversations, Mark showing up, and the Viltrumites attacking his home world. He likely remembers his mother saying that Thraxxan lives are so short even compared to a regular human's. Mark is trying to teach Oliver that the world is a lot more complicated than appears, even if he himself is still learning. He's trying to teach Oliver that it's not okay to kill someone and act like it isn't a big deal, which you saw when he killed the Mauler Twins. He was covered in blood and was completely unfazed, which was probably the result of his Viltrumite side. However, he is still a child so it makes sense as to why he doesn't understand why Mark and Debbie are concerned about him doing it. With time and the right guidance he can get better. Also, good job for Eve trying to repair her relationship with her parents by setting strict boundaries. However, I was definitely against it at first because of her dad. Normally I'd say she doesn't owe them anything, especially her dad with how he treats her, but at the very least if things don't turn out well, she can say that she tried to fix her relationship with them, but her parents were unwilling to change for the better.
