I was always the odd one out as out of everyone in my childhood, I was the only one to pick Bulbasaur, Venusaur is still one of my fav pokemon to this day.

2025-06-29 21:47:50 +0000 UTCThis episode does a really nice job at introducing the basis of Pokemon (well the show as a whole too). I definitely would've choose Squirtle tho lol. Also don't know if you caught it when Professor Oak mentioned but you can only carry a maximum of 6 pokemon with you and all the rest you catch get sent to the PC (pokemon storage). I'm pretty sure in the anime Professor Oak takes care of them and studies them while they are in there.
