There's a sort of poetry in Eris now having a throneworld. Since she lost her ghost, she had only her one life until now. And the very first task we did for Eris was deliver vengeance for her ghost, her Light, and her fireteam - by killing Crota in his throneworld.

He first tried to make a wish with the ahamkara bone that is Eris' dark soul sphere. He also went to the Emissary of the Nine, but as you can guess neither of them worked. Also, fun fact, if you look in Eris' apartment, there are gambit coins on the nightstand next to her bed which tells you a lot about their relationship. For more context on the dialogue of Savathun at the beginning, that came from the new dungeon that was released with this episode called Sundered Doctrine. We're tasked with entering Rhulk's pyramid again to stop a new leader from rallying the remaining forces of the Witness and in the process unlock its secrets.
