Thank you for the name clarification and the meaning! 🙏

"he should be used to being shot by now." 😂

"She's determined." I mean, she's trying to trudge a boy her size through the snow, so it's understandable that she's giving it her all. "Is it ever explained why there's talking [animals]?" I don't...think so? With how many people he voices, Chris Sabat is a real One-Man Red Ribbon Army. I like the difference between japanese and english there. In Japanese, the mother was surprised that Suno said he fell out of a place, but in english, it's like she was more surprised he's alive. Did she think her daughter brought home a dead body? "This one wore his brown pants, today." Appreciate the Deadpool reference. "What big eyes you have." That...was entirely an english addition. Who the hell wrote that in? I can say this without spoiling anything; I can't wait for you to see how that underwear wish gets called back to in GT. ...did that dude just put a whole ass ladle in his mouth? I have a big mouth, but damn, that's impressive. "Don't eat the yellow snow." Let's be honest...would Goku care if he knew? "Just taking it head on." To be fair, between Bulma and Launch, he should be used to being shot by now. Sweet, we now officially start one of the best arcs of Original Dragon Ball, in my opinion. "Goku the lady-killer." Huh, now that I think about it, all the Saiyans seem to do a good job of attracting humans, huh?

"Is this your father?" after getting repeatedly shot by 2 assualt rifles gets me everytime

Every time I see Muscle Tower, I think of the soundtrack from one of the older DBZ games that featured it (Budokai 2 for those of you that may know what I'm talking about), and what a kickass theme it was. Lol aside from that, definitely looking forward to watching Goku kick ass on the whole area, one of his best moments in the series I think

You’re correct, yuki (ゆき) is the hiragana for “snow” and suno (スノ) is the katakana (borrowed language) for it. Both mean the same thing, but I guess Toriyama wanted to use the English pronunciation for her name, which is pretty cool

J Sal

Ah man I can't wait for this. I love muscle tower arc.

Almost to the juicy stuff! we're literally almost there! & Ken & Beth they're saying Suno, her name is Suno hehe & Suno means snow in Japanese. I.E. why she is the one to rescue Goku in the show. "The Angel of snow" Especially OG Dragon Ball & early DBZ, had a lot of hidden meanings you'll miss from time to time. Just like a lot of the most hardcore Dragon Ball fans tend to miss the connection between Son Goku & Son Wukong. Snow is also one of the cutest characters in anime history😊

I do find the whole Son family tends to attract people, gotta love those Saiyan genetics. Also Suno is Snow in I think katakana because I believe Yuki is snow in Japanese Hiragana.

Me and Animals Part 3: "I think I was in first grade or so when the kid who lived next door found an injured crow hopping around and brought it to me. It was the first time I'd ever seen a crow so close. It was such a large, magnificent bird. It immediately stirred my interest, and I decided to take it home and take care of it. My parents were against it, crows being ill omens and all, but in the end, they were the ones feeding and taking care of it. "Prince Caw", as he was rather simply named, recovered quickly, but even after he learned to fly, he took to me and would hop along after me when I walked around. The thing that impressed me most was how he, like a parrot, could say simple words. I don't remember exactly what he said, but I think something like "hello" and "idiot". We became the best of friends, but one day, he flew off and never came back. I was so lonely, I cried and cried. When I hear crows cawing near my house now, I wonder if any of them might be Prince Caw's grandchildren, and it makes me smile."

3:30 The anthropomorphic animal characters don't really have much of a reason to exist other than that Toriyama just really loved animals. As a matter of fact, during my search for that little excerpt about Toriyama's hatred of rats last week, I rediscovered two follow up excerpts from him as well that you two may like to hear. My last comment about the rats was part 1. Me and Animals Part 2: "Loving animals as I do, I've had many pets since my youth. Part of me is proud of my history with animals, and part of me feels real bad about the ones I let die by mistake. Paddy sparrows, yellow-backed canaries, parakeets, sparrows, white-eyes, chicks (later, chickens), crows, dogs, cats, bats. newts, geckos, lizards, snakes, turtles, pollywogs (later, frogs), goldfish, carp, killifish, stag beetles, goliath beetles, bell-ring bugs, ants, praying mantises, caterpillars (later, butterflies), spiders, larvae (later, mosquitoes), crayfish... the list goes on. Once, I even kept a rat, and I hate rats! (Well, it was a field mouse, really). See, I had this idea in my youth that, since I was so scared of rats, if I kept one, maybe I'd get used to it and grow to like them. But in the end, I still hated it, so I let it go in the field behind the house. Good riddance! Once, I begged my parents for a horse, and I even asked for a chimpanzee! My chimpanzee craze cooled off quick when I went to the zoo and saw how dirty their butts get. Currently at my house, we have a dog (named Turbo-maru), seven paddy sparrows, and two parakeets."

Beastfolk are a staple of fantasy anime and the world of original dragon ball is like on the verge between fantasy and modern times.
