I couldn’t find the source, but when this episode came out that’s all I’ve been seeing in the comments section. If someone can confirm that this is true, that’d be great

I know production started before the script was finish so that's probably why, but its a little weird a series with this much production time still has these inconsistencies.

2025-06-07 02:33:03 +0000 UTCIn the Japanese version Goku say's "one more bonus" instead of "to go even further beyond" in the English version but I think I prefer the "one more bonus" line Also I think that Goku super sayian 4 transformation is up there for me with Goku transforming to ultra instinct, Goku transforming to super sayian for the first time and Gohan transforming to super sayian 2 for the first time .

2025-06-07 01:37:36 +0000 UTCBy far my favorite Goku transformation sequence. Both Nozawa and Sean did a phenomenal job and Sean even said he passed out from how intense the scream he gave was. Seeing Adult SSJ3 Vegeta as well is also really awesome to see after years of only seeing him in non-canon material like Raging Blast and Heroes and of course the animation was superb as always. The Vegeta bath joke was definitely the best part of the episode though hands down LOL.

Chi Chi has Goku on one too but i feel like Chi Chi let's go Goku just do Goku most of the time. Bulma is way more feisty in small areas with Vegeta lol. I find it so funny that there are people calling Vegeta a simp. Oh Brother, THAT'S HIS WIFE! 😂

Seeing him in Super Saiyan 3 as an adult is a dream I’ve always wanted realized and they delivered so well! With that crossed arm spinning kick, and the most beautifully animated final flash we’ve seen in a while. Absolute Cinema

2025-06-06 20:34:14 +0000 UTCI believe this question was raised back during their DBZ Kakarot playthrough, and the best answer I had came to was that the requirement to speak Namekian was just an extra safeguard against malicious wishes. Like two-factor authentication. Not a "perfect" defense measure, but at least it increases the likelihood of the person making a wish either being a Namekian or being on good terms with them.

2025-06-06 19:43:45 +0000 UTCBathtime > 1v1 fight, I see you Vegeta 😂 Gokus SSJ4 transformation was pretty epic, like SSJ God, he has the muscle memory of transforming into SSJ4 at will (I wont get into how this contradicts Super), Im normally not a Goku simp but when he took his shirt off like a preening sl….peacock that was peak cinema 🥵. Im glad you both brought up Goku VA, there was some criticism online regarding his screams because in the Japanese Sub there is an echo effect when Goku goes SSJ4, however the English Dub opted for the Oozaru/Great Ape sound effect which I think worked better imo. Also Sean has commented that he tends to faint when using his SSJ4 voice and actually fainted 3 times when he recorded the SSJ4 voice in Daima, now thats dedication to your art.

This shit right here had me grinning like an idiot when I first saw it though lmao. The use of silence, the timing on Vegeta's slow pivot around, and the faint sounds of his shock just fucking got me.😄

2025-06-06 19:06:43 +0000 UTCI’m obviously not gonna be the last one to say this, but the voice acting in this episode is just impeccable, and I’d day that goes for both the JP and ENG casts. Something that I think some DB fans take for granted is the effort that these VAs still put into playing these characters after all these years. The obvious highlight here being the epic yell that Sean Schemmel and Masako Nozawa deliver during Goku's Super Saiyan jump to Super Saiyan 4.

Just feels like it something that should happen once we’ve deescalated from the action imo. I also forgot to mention last week that I agree with the idea that Arinsu’s plan was rather stupid. I would’ve had an easier time understanding why she decided to have Glorio learn Namekian instead of herself if that point had just been given a little more justification. Maybe throw in a line explaining that she couldn’t do it herself bc she wasn't able to do the Namekian equivalent of rolling her r’s or something, idk lol.

2025-06-06 19:01:01 +0000 UTCAlright, now that we’ve made it here, I’d like to repost the intial thoughts on ep 19 that I commented way back on the Daima ep 3 reaction: “While I think the pacing could’ve been better, that was my only immediate problem. Dragon Ball has never made me want to laugh, yell, and tear up in such quick succession in the 10+ years I’ve been a DB fan as in today’s episode. And I don’t say that lightly. Honestly, I come off as more amped up in my comments, but I don’t get emotional easily in person. I’m sure it didn’t quite hit the same for everyone here, but god damn it man, I just love this series so much. Don’t know what else to say.” Honestly, I really can’t say my feelings have changed too much. Some people might consider this blasphemy, but I would go as far as to say that this episode may just be one of my favorites out of the whole franchise (when removed from the context of ep 20). Wouldn’t say top 5, but arguably top 15, which is quite something given the several hundred episodes that make up DB. Not coming in here expecting anyone to agree, of course.
