Totally fair, and The Last of Us Part II as a game was polarizing so not surprising that the TV show would be as well. We enjoyed it but we also recognize that may be a minority opinion even in our own community. Beth's Mom was watching the show and when it ended she came to us and was like, "WTF?!?! How is that how they end this season?!?! Why would I ever come back for season 3?!?!" Needless to say her opinion was the opposite of ours and much what we expected people would say, especially if they had not played and enjoyed the game.

2025-05-31 17:30:35 +0000 UTC1:16:30 Well, on that note, I guess I'll just say that my interest in the story of the Last of Us has pretty much run dry. Tbh I'm not even sure if I'll bother with season 3. Not really itching to see how the remainder of a story that didn't leave much of an impression on me gets adapted. Perhaps if this series ends up telling a story with a completely new cast that I have no idea as to what will happen to them, then maybe I'll come away differently.
