Once you’re done with Fairy types, you still haven’t seen every single Pokémon, because these “Pokémon types explained” video were created around Generation 7. So way before Generation 8 & 9 got made. Hence why he has his own separate videos for them and why I included them in the playlist.

2025-05-11 22:19:11 +0000 UTCI will say this. Fire types will always be my favorite and I always make it a priority to use the newest Fire type combo that gets created. For example: - Volcanion The first Water/Fire type Pokémon to exist. And it’s a Mythical Pokémon so it’s even more powerful! - Scorvillain A pepper plant monster with 2 heads that are red and green. And the first ever Grass/Fire type to exist. And Fairy is the actual last typing that hasn’t combined with Fire. So I’m waiting for the day when they finally create a Fire/Fairy type. And then Fire will have completely crossed with every single type.

2025-05-11 17:59:36 +0000 UTCI don’t really mind the existence of this typing and actually love they gave it to older Pokémon so they would stick out more for fans to be drawn to. It’s become very prevalent nowadays and so many cool fanarts have been made with people that have seen themselves as Fairy type trainers. And this video that Lockstin made explaining Fairy types just added to interest of them. Fairytales are a lot more interesting than what I initially knew.

2025-05-11 17:54:55 +0000 UTCFairy types were added in Generation 6 (Pokémon X & Pokémon Y) to help keep the powerful Dragon types in check. Because on the competitive side of Pokémon, a lot of teams included OP Dragon Pokémon because they were just that good. Once Fairy got into the game, there were a lot more strategies being developed to combat this new typing. Some fans like it. Some fans don’t. But it’s here to stay and never going away.
