So a bit of the things you guys were confused on, Tsumi was one of the last Vassals of Orabashi who was the god that Enkanomiyan people worshiped, Raiden killed Orobashi which caused the people to split some people went to down to Enkanomiya (pretty sure they died out) where the Vishaps where living and forced them underground and locked them up (which is why they don't like humans) and some stayed up top on land in Watatsumi (Raiden killing Orobashi is why they don't like her all that much until the peace talks.) Since Orobashi is the one who makes Vassals died Tsumi was the last Vassal left (which is why she had the pendent), the people of Watatsumi were taking care of her but they were attacked by the Vishaps who were angry with them they killed the shrine maiden who was protecting her and kidnapped her and raised her, which is why she hates humans. A lot of this lore is hidden in books and in world quests, I don't like to read... so I got info from other sources and this is all from memory from over 3 years ago, so if anything is wrong don't hesitate to correct me.

Ah, I see. In that case I’ll need to make adjustments a month in advance if proper context is needed.

Just wanted to send a HUGE thank you to everyone filling us in with additional knowledge to enrich our Genshin journey. We love learning from you and exploring this world!

You weren't late, we were. We got them and were making plans to watch them and then this came up in our filming schedule and we just didn't connect that we needed to watch your two videos before this. Sorry about that!

Bethany and Ken

Like I said. Very mixed reception.

AlexThat200

I did consider them, but the longer part is the problem. I just wanted to give them something more of a quick rundown than actual lore videos.

AlexThat200

Hope you get well soon!!! Looking forward to more Genshin stuff, can't wait for you guys to get to Sumeru and Fontaine

For lore/theories related to Genshin I recommend, Ashikai their videos are a bit on the longer side but explain everything really well.

Dante3046

From my understanding I believe the "primordial one" defeated the king and some of the 7 sovereigns died in the war, but a couple did survive the dendro one is a confirmed survivor that we meet.

Dante3046

People hated Enkanomiya? I really liked it, I loved the music and the scenery, although I admit swapping day to night was a bit annoying, I still really enjoyed it.

Dante3046

So while I did briefly explain the context that was missing, I do urge to look at the 2 lore videos I put before this, because the person who did the videos explains it WAY better than I could.

AlexThat200

And I’m so GLAD you liked Enjou as much as I did. Also, of course you don’t remember meeting him. Because he only showed in this place during the Travelers first trip to Enkanomiya. Which was a World Quest, meaning there was no voice acting at all. But despite how much some people hated Enkanomiya, a majority of players really liked Enjou’s personality. So he was brought back in this event. So, this event is pretty much a lore reward for those that play the game to its fullest. Because it’s very odd that they would connect a World Quest to the Archon Quest with very important information.

Tsumi herself I would like to see more of as well. Unfortunately, we haven’t really seen her ever since this story. That isn’t to say she’s never coming back. But Hoyoverse has just never brought her or this story back again ever since. I believe it was because players really hated exploring this place, or they thought it was too boring. There were others like myself that liked it. It had a very mixed reception from what I can remember.

AlexThat200

Tsumi talked about Vishaps and Sovereigns, and the latter is VERY IMPORTANT!!! The Seven Sovereigns were basically 7 great dragons that had control over 1 of the 7 elements. (Pyro, Cryo, etc.) They ruled over Teyvat long before humans showed up. That is until a being called the “Primordial One” appeared and slew the Seven Sovereigns. From there, it reshaped the world to make it more habitable for humans. As for the Vishaps. They’re pretty much dragon like beings that followed the Seven Sovereigns. And over time, it is said they will become true dragons. Though we haven’t really seen anything like that yet.

AlexThat200

This place underneath Watatsumi Island is called “Enkanomiya”. Think of it as the Genshin equivalent of Atlantis. So Kokomi’s ancestors originally made residence here during to seek refuge from the Archon War at the time. Unfortunately, the place was already inhabited by Vishaps (those big dragon like things the Traveler was fighting against) and a control for land ensued. Bunch of lore stuff later, the humans created an artificial sun and drove the Vishaps deeper into the waters.

AlexThat200

So I’m gonna assume the two lore videos I put before this were either skipped over or I put them too late by the time you recorded this one. And naturally, some context is lost. So I’ll try to explain briefly what went down in this place in multiple comments.
