Definitely love the evolution of Asami's character and that she wasn't set aside after the love triangle plots were played out. Plus, really enjoying her and Korra's friendship!

2025-03-11 14:53:55 +0000 UTCHonestly, given what we know about the place, I think this is the best Ba Sing Se has ever looked. "Her most proud possession." I mean, looking at the state of that house, it looks like it may be the most expensive possession. I just realized that Bolin's cousin whose name I forget is voiced by Greg Cipes. He voices Beast Boy in Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go, as well as Craz in Gravity Falls (which is one I recommend putting on the list for after Korra, if it's not already on there). Asami must've gotten into the pilot seat of that airship and gone, "Bolin?! What did you do to this thing?!" You guys haven't touched on it much, but how do you like how much screen time Asami is getting? Almost all her time this season has been with Korra, so she's gotten so much time to shine. Yeah, between last episode and this one, definitely leaning into the darker side of the show, and I'm here for it.

2025-03-10 23:41:52 +0000 UTCWhat I really love about Tenzin vs Zaheer in this episode is how it shows that even though Zaheer has spent his entire life studying air nomad culture and airbending forms, he is still at the end of the day a novice who has only been able to actually put those lessons into practice very recently. Airbenders have been extinct/endangered for so long nobody knows how to fight against them. Meanwhile Tenzin is the world’s premiere airbending master with 52 years of practical experience. No matter how hard you study a martial art in theory, you will never measure up to someone who has lived it. Two more to go, and things will not be slowing down. In fact things are going to get worse before they get better. See you next time when we let go of our earthly tether and enter the void.
