DAN DA DAN Episode 20 Live Reaction (FULL)

these are the kinds of episodes where there's no room for debate, it surpassed the manga as arcs like these just dont hit as hard without the music and level of directing they had here!

i went and read the chapters they adapted and yes the anime clears it

For every anime fan, there must be a best episode they've ever watched or ever will watch, i.e. the peak of that viewer's anime watching lifetime experience. For me, I think this was it.

Without having seen your reaction yet (wanted to state this first), but the quint-essential classical song being used here (starting from when the giants appeared) is "An die Freude" in the version of Beethoven's 9th symphony. In English it's known as "Ode to Joy". The poem itself was written by Friedrich Schiller (German poet). The song is actually the official anthem of the Council of Europe and the European Union, so it has considerable significance even among big pieces of classical music.
