2025-07-24 22:22:45 +0000 UTCI don't know. I hardly ever notice when the animation is at that level, which tells me I accept it just fine. Maybe because I've been watching anime since the days when that was considered good animation. I notice when it is much better or worse, of course. ..... I think part of the key to this anime being so good is Ryo's laid-back, quirky personality without it being some trope. He still has a bit of child-like wonder but he's mature, he is confident in an understated way, he can naturally lead, but he doesn't insist on it, he teases but isn't obnoxious about it. Just some things I thought of, there's probably some better ways to describe him.

Ryo is adorable and is almost always has a smile on his face. I am curious how his eternal youth will play out. Will he never age? Maybe he'll age slowly like an Elf... I'm excited to see. I also like him building his little party. He was giving Armon, lol, some good sword tips. I imagine eventually he'll train them all and we'll have an awesome party. as for the art, I agree, they focus on the heavier moments and fights. The background, to me, looks like canvas, like a painting canvas. I think there's actually a photoshop filter that does something like that, lol. It's certainly unique! I get the Mushoko feels, too, less the holy relics. It's a nice, fun adventure and I can't wait to see where they take it.
