The person who's theory was that the people on the plane put there luck into the child, to me it sounds like they already knew it instead of it being a theory because I can't see any way they could get that from the past episodes. I'm not saying it's possible but I can't wrap my head around it.

I, too, am surprised that the episode went a positive route. Though it still feels like I'm getting strung along. I would have quit at the end of this arc if it were more of the same. Two things to note: They went full FLCL with the guitar smash with the dean. And 2, and I'm not sure how it fits into the overarching story, but it seems like they've pretty much confirmed that the very nature of hero power is based on what the public believes they are. If the public believes that your power steals luck, then it does. If they think it doesn't, then it doesn't. The big reveal, I posit, is that Trust Value and Fear are the same force, and that individuals, on their own, but especially as a group, can manifest things in the world through will. People believe that heroes exist, so they do. If one day they don't believe heroes exist, then they'll stop existing. I think the heroes in the show are too naive, thinking their powers have rules. I believe the next-level heroes will realize their powers don't have restrictions, but rather are bound by the will of the people. So, there's probably a big bad somewhere we haven't seen yet, harnessing Fear without limitations, since people believe in fear in its many forms. I wouldn't be surprised if it's someone very important controlling both sides of this, in a Wizard of Oz style. Given my theory for the ending, I'm unsure how the show would conclude. I see the big climactic fight, but I have no idea what "victory" looks like. Maybe the destruction of Trust/Fear? But if it's a fundamental force of nature in this world, can it truly be destroyed? I'm trying to keep it rational, but this could very easily turn into FMA, where there's one incredibly OP hero at the center of the earth, and everyone else is unknowingly using his power. I hope it doesn't go that way, but they're dropping references to other shows, so maybe it will. However, this feels cheap; I hope it doesn't turn out that way.

from the past 2 arcs i always thought that the every arc was going end tragic or somewhat badly, and im glad this arc is different and changed that, we needed that unpredictability with every arc
