I just checked out this show today because of your recommendation and I like it. It did remind me a bit about level two super cheat show that aired last year, with that muscle mommy character. Who I think is supposed to be an orc rather then an elf

It skipped pretty far ahead and didn't show how he met the girls, or who they are, or how he got the house. It makes me wonder what they're actually going to make the season about. The manga is currently in what should be a second season for this anime, but I'm really scratching my head where they're going with this. I don't know if you ever got around to middle-aged online shopper, but the 13th and final episode aired today. They're saving the wizard who has a spell that summons mayonnaise for season 2. I keep suggesting this one because it's the only mature MC that I've seen that actually gets laid. Very worth watching, even if the action scenes are few, clunky, and involve excavators. Warning, bad CG "dragon" in the last episode.
