yep, she seems really autistic. Yeah, I am an autist as well. She didn't seem to be written with that in mind seemingly. But what I still can't figure out if she is asexual. Was there ever a sign that she is interested in him OR his frog?`Other than thinking that he is objectively beautiful and being interested in the special gifts he offered her

He did give her a bear gallbladder as a stopgap measure, but now he finally delivered on his promise. Probably he should have waited until after the conversation was over. I don’t think he was trying to confess, but to tell her who he was. The reason was to fully inform her, get her buy-in, with apparently dangerous situations looming, which they point out in this very episode. She might be autistic, but in this episode she explains it as having been somewhat neglected as a baby. Also the "other" more common subtitles for this episode show that when Gaoshun says he has a long way to go, he was referring to Basen, not himself. And the gun was referred to more specifically as a feifa in that other translation.
