I was legit surprised Kei is as old as he is. Sunraku's first match went about as expected, metagaming at its peak, with his adaptability from the wide swath of game genres he's played ultimately carrying the day. Multiple Mike Tyson analogies incoming: Amane is the living embodiment of "Everybody's got a plan til you get punched in the mouth". Wondering what shenanigans she'll have to pull if she gets matched against another villain, or if the devs saw that and proactively fix or nerf that mechanic. Kei getting Sunraku to play as Meteus serves a couple functions. 1) it's like trying to find a sparring partner to train you to fight Prime Mike Tyson (i.e. good luck). Sunraku's the closest to her playstyle he can get on short notice. 2) he needed to stress test himself against Meteus in the new game engine, see what changed, what got nerfed and/or buffed. It seems to be implied that Kei is going to be picking a new main.

If this game got made but the Capcom/SNK or the Marvel/DC varient I would buy it immediately. Playing so many wild characters where they have such quirky and fun personalities and abilities would be awesome. Imagine Doctor Strange vs M. Bison like match ups.
