Main girl most certainly warmed up to the hero guy. Anyhow, it rarely happens in shows with female protagonists to have an actual male love interest, outside of romance-focused shows. Only ones I can think of from the top of my head are Cross Ange and Slayers (though in the latter it's very brief). There's probably a few more I can't think of at the moment, but not a whole lot. I don't think it's just anime though. I feel like it's similar for western movies. It's not 'as rare', but outside of romance movies, female protagonists usually don't have male love interests either. For most part they're either lesbian or have none.

She didn't start the cult, she didn't cause these people to attack the festival. Nor is she responsible for all the subplots that ultimately interfere with her free time. And the festival would have been an all-out massacre had Alina not been standing right there.
