Yeah I agree it's trying to be two different shows, but I can watch it with brain turn off and have fun with it. In his defence in this episode why the girl didn't give him fruits, it would be dangerous to have the headache in the middle of the battle, and also him worrying about people especially like the dude he's fighting, finding out about MC having more than two skills. But he just used fairy to try put to the dude to sleep, now he's calling out sword god technique, so it is a bit of a mess. Still can enjoy it with brain turn off though.

This episode has me confused. The pacing suddenly feels off. It's going to be three episodes to get the new sword now. And doesn't Monica have everything she needs at her own shop across the street? Why is she breaking back into her dad's shop? I'm happy that they keep reminding us that the main love interest is still in the show, but honestly, she's putting in the real work offscreen while MC is dicking around harem-building, learning about magnetism, conductivity, and refusing to accept a sword unless it's made by Monica. Which, apparently, can complete the forging process in a single hammer-swing. AND the sword he's reluctantly using is a creation of the dad's, and they're basically shitting all over his craftsmanship because even with Light's enhanced durability skill, the sword is still getting shredded. We didn't see that while fighting the dragon. I don't know what's going on anymore, but I am absolutely certain that he's going to end up with another meme sword, even though they've demonstrated in this very episode that they are perfectly capable of drawing a normal-ass sword.
