Teltina is clearly the Pink Ranger (female, soft, wants people to get along, often royalty, sometimes in disguise) and Yihdra's the Yellow Ranger (generally female as well, but more tomboyish, brash and willing to respectfully challenge the leader and/or offer relevant input). Only one we're missing is Green, who's usually the beef slab/mechanic of the group (and was easily the biggest guy on Red's original team).

I do think it's cool that the blue guy sorta acts like the blue ranger often does. The blue ranger is often antagonistic towards the red one and it results in them clashing regularly.

Lowji and Red instantly and wordlessly getting back to back to defend themselves, and Lowji not fighting to stay with Teltina beyond one initial objection shows that they're going to keep that BS out of anything important (barring the obligatory 'Will this break up the team? Find out... Next week!' episode from damn near every Sentai show). Well, it's not quite on the level of Yihdra's mountainous plot, but that shot framing was... unnecessary. Props for equal time, I guess. Red getting his uncontrollable, ultimately self-destructive, teammates have to talk me down rage boost this early was a bit unexpected, but he *does* from bonds awfully fast. The Staff chick was also borderline likeable until the very end. I'm wondering if she's the one who replaced Yihdra's father, or that guy's daughter. That last insult screams 'former classmates'.

2025-02-10 17:44:20 +0000 UTCBlack aura is the prelude to his black ranger transformation. Power Rangers had something like that. They'd occasionally introduce a 6th ranger, or the red ranger had some transformation or became the 6th ranger for some reason.
