We needed to introduce a more demanding challenge for Senku; this makes sense. Senku's strength is resourcefulness. Whatever he has available, he makes the optimum tool out of it. He didn't have access to corn in Japan. I guarantee he would have surpassed America (US?) if he did. One of the most essential fuel sources is diesel. That requires the ability to perform fractional distillation. A byproduct of the process is gasoline, but Senku didn't need to go to gasoline; diesel would have been fine. He doesn't currently have the equipment to make either one, so he's just burning crude oil and using steam power. This American scientist has had access to corn from the start. Corn can easily be turned into ethanol, which is equivalent to gasoline in this world. I guess this doctor isn't as efficient as Senku and just got a jump start in the tech tree by having corn from the beginning.

2025-02-01 18:48:04 +0000 UTCRealistically; the true difference is who was revived. Stan and Xeno; well neither seem the buider type... thus at least one other. So possibly less folk and so less man power. So the question is who has the better team? Because even if you have all the resources, if you lack the HR then it means little. But with tech and numbers then Xeno is a real threat. This shift out of nowhere is part of why I like the ending half of the series. Just no guessing whats upcoming exactly anymore.

2025-01-31 01:40:07 +0000 UTCi dont assume they all woke up around the same time. they were located on opposite ends of the earth so their situation can very well be 10, 20, 100 years ahead. not to mention even if they did, if they are surrounded by better minds and minerals and the like than senku was they would naturally get ahead. had senku been revived here they probably would be at the moon already. senku had a lil drip for thousands of years to break him open, this man could have has much more waking him up sooner considering what Senku did in the span of a year, it's not crazy to assume even a year head start would get them to this point if they are surrounded by far more than they were. America as an example has 10x the amount of cars than Japan, that is a lot of salvageable materials as an example
