So, they will not kill the boss until the mining is completely done. Otherwise, the gate will close too soon (in 1 hour) and they will not be able to collect all the resources.

2025-01-26 16:05:49 +0000 UTCI read the manga for it like 10+ years ago so I could remember a little bit, but the last 5 minutes of this episode got me so confused I went to re-read the beginning just now and basically they skipped three chapters where they show a lot of Koinzell's powers and a side story showing a bit of his backstory from previous life. All of those characters shown at the end of the episode were introduced in these 3 chapters and I think the anime will show most of it in a form of a flashback, which will honestly make the story flow better, as those chapters, while nice, really felt like a slapstick exposition. This adaptation is honestly at about 8 or 9 out of 10 for me, as both the censorship and production are not quite as I hoped but hell of a lot better than I feared (I curse you, The New Gate adaptation!)
