She didn't seem to mind him putting his hand in front of her mouth, and after the first time they are standing awfully close next to each other. I don't think they'd do that if they were just members of the same party, not even as friends. They also had some kinda vibe in the 1st episode.

She clearly knew that she had to learn her work the hard way, making every mistake until she became good at her job. So at this point, you could say it is established in multiple ways that she is, well, pretty dumb. And it is absolutely intended.

It's a pleasant reversal on gender-norms, and it just works. I think I'm rooting for Jade here. Actually, I'm joining Receptionist 2, I probably wouldn't mind her smashing me with that hammer.
