Though this is a cliff hanger it's the solid end of an arc so I think it works out as a good way to end the season. If there intention is to follow the manga like they have theres nothing else they could do without rushing this conflict or ending halfway through the next arc. As an old fan I'm super pleased with this first season and legit excited to see them adapt more.
