unless im misremembering the dragon empire goes beyond blood lines so thinking about it another way, the goddess wanting to kill off all the siblings and leave only hadis cause he is actually the true descendent makes sense too! but looking at it from the uncles POV it seems different. spicy episode next week for sure.

what I like too, is the uncle isn't generic evil from his POV hadis existence is undoing all the hard work of their family and he is protecting integrity. yes he is wrong but from this time period POV he would be doing the heroic and just thing. great writing.
