Nah he's right. I also thought that last episode that the MC was doing them a favor. Because rather than it ending up like this, it would've been pretty likely that at least 1 of them would die. The leader is just too talented, his party just couldn't keep up with him and they actually dragged him down as a result. The current outcome may have resulted in some butthurt, but that's still far better than being dead, IMO. I didn't foresee the blondie joining though. I actually thought it would've been the bff, but this makes more sense since the MC does want the strongest ones. I also think they established pretty early on that while the MC is willing to be an a-hole, he also has a strong sense of loyalty and justice. Quite a literal example of 'tough love'.

2024-12-17 15:12:36 +0000 UTCThis series was superb, it maybe started out a little slow and shallow but it deepend and became very profound with characters that are no goody two shoes but more belieavable and ruthless. The manga has a few chapters more, but the LN is much more ahead. This season contained 1,5 LNs, the pacing was good :)
