Let This Grieving Soul Retire Episode 10 Live Reaction (FULL)

at this point I'm surprised the safety rings don't break from the stress he deals with on an hourly basis

Let This Grieving Soul Retire Episode 10 Live Reaction (FULL)

From just the flashbacks, it looks like Krai is just as strong as a normal person, maybe weaker since his is lazy. He couldn't even keep up in beginner vaults, hence why he tried to retire early. This also explains why he is a relic nut; it's his only lifeline. As for his party and based on Sitri's words, the Grievers don't think he is weak and even if this was revealed to them, it wouldn't matter. Sitri mentioned previously that even if he couldn't beat a sand rabbit, Krai was born to be a hunter. Reminds me of an Attack of Titan Abridge series where Levi says "I have a hard time telling people we follow a magical soothsayer because he is somehow always right".

Sitiri was demoted ranks we know so she is probably mid to top rank actually in their guild

I do have some questions that probably won't get answered this season. - How strong is Krai? He seems to be pretty weak, but like would he be able to keep up with a level 1 or 2 adventurer in terms of physical capability? - The 'levels' of the rest of the Grievers so far don't seem to be correct. Sitri has no problem dodging high level monsters and she's strong enough to give her sister trouble. And she's had lots of experience in high-level dungeons. No way she's level 2, probably closer to level 5 in terms of physical combat ability. And her sister took care of a level 7 in no time despite being level 6. - Also curious how aware his party is that Krai is actually really weak. If they are fully aware, they do a damn good job playing along so that others won't find out. Basically it'd be like an unspoken secret. But they also aren't too worried if he ventures out into a dangerous place without any other members (though they would probably also be aware of his god-level luck stat. Or perhaps he has some sort of special skill that makes the world act in his favor).

Seeing the color of Sitri's potions in gas form reminds me of how lime green in Disney movies is associated with those who are villainous. Interestingly, in episode 2, Eva warned Krai of his spending habits and mentioned he had taken loans out from Sitri. I want to think that Sitri, being the clever schemer, hasn't "collected" so that she can trap and make Krai fully dependent on her.

I can't believe it's taken 10 episodes for the real MC to show up (the narrator's closing comments seem to suggest that). This whole time, we've been watching the Demon Lord and his generals.

The malice eaters are those giant chimera monsters from the last couple episodes. The very first time Krei is introduced to the term, he fumbles and mispronounces the words. What he says sounds like water so he just sticks with it. What's water for? For drinking. It's a weird trope in anime, that when a magic language no one understands needs to be introduced, they use English words, listen to the VA.

Fun detail: When it talks about the "relic auction" and shows lots of different relics, there is a pair of hands on the left half of the screen. These hands display a bunch of rings, but they're also arranged so that they'd create a dog's head when used for shadow puppetry.

Kray is >really< bad at listening to the important stuff. If I take the information from the manga into account, he had no idea what "malice eater" actually means. He realised that Sitri wanted it, so he just assumed that it would have to be a potion or something like that. I guess the translators didn't know how to best convey this, so they described it as "water", because that's a drinkable liquid.

I felt like Kray knew what he weas doing when he gave Sitri the poisoned beer mug, but that would make him more observant than I thought possible. And if anyone can explain the malice eater-water joke, that would be appreciated.

She gave "Draining Guild resources" a whole new meaning 🤣
