The Do-Over Damsel Conquers the Dragon Emperor Episode 1 Live Reaction (FULL)

so it's like 7th time loop the villainess meets a more comfy vibe I REALLY enjoyed this! also I think the reason he is so okay with her being 10 is he cares about the magic she can weild which idk easier when younger as I don't get the vibe he actually is attracted to her unlike the first creep

I watch this. I haven't been apart of your community for long so didn't think to recommend this show but glad you are watching it. So when he is on the boat talking about her age he also mentions a few times about magical power, maybe the age has to do more with that then anything else

I didn't sleep on this, was watching it from the start. It's pretty enjoyable so far. I do love that it's not afraid to have actual taboos. Guy is into little girls. Girl is 12 and he says his idea age would be a few times younger, but that 12 is okay. And another dude engaged himself to a little girl (or did 1st round, failed 2nd) so he can bang his real blood-related sister. Makes some people uncomfortable maybe, but I dunno I just love taboo stuff in stories. It's just all in good fun and funny in fiction. Apparently there's also a very extreme version of this from School/Summer Days universe (think it's a visual novel & anime). There's a flowchart where it shows a guy who basically has a child with like half of the female characters. And yes this also includes the daughters he has with these girls and the daughters he has with... his daughters. I think for 1 he keeps making a daughter with his daughter like 6 or 7 times/generations in a row. Basically at that point the blood of the 1st woman has diluted so much he shares like 99% of the DNA with the last daughter in the line (which I think he also gets pregnant and who is like 6 years old). That series is apparently kinda effed up so I avoid it, but... the scenario there is just so effed up it's funny. Just look up school days family tree if you want a good laugh.

I probably wouldn't even have brought it up, if they hadn't spent a good chunk of Episode 3 on it. This thing was just something that, at this moment, for some reason, personally, bothers me more that all the age gap stuff, as portrayed by all the anime I am watching this season. It says more about me than the anime. But as I said, so far, I am watching the show anyway. Glad to hear this focus won't continue.

He is 19 and I think the show is very aware how sus the age gap is.

In a show about exposing cultural differences and creating a mixed culture from mutually xenophobic groups, just like IRL these things happen. In a fantasy world, add in differing biologies, and you have a recipe for some extreme cultural differences. Even IRL bathing culture is so different East to West. Having read ahead in the manga, I can promise you the milk thing is really not revisited. The whole thing is really wholesome and the MC is pretty unique in the genre. But there's plenty of cringe situations to be had throughout, but that's sort of the point.

My point is that it makes me uncomfortable on an ongoing basis. It's a minor point and purely subjective. I can often put the other sus stuff to the side in my mind, in this show and many others, but in Dragon Life I can't ignore it in real time. I was never trying to say that the point of the show was the milk thing. Besides, all other shows with similar features that I know of are ones I chose not to watch. In contrast, I am choosing (so far) to watch Goodbye, Dragon Life; therefore I am choosing to be uncomfortable with it.

Weird milk is just like a minor thing. The concept is immortal dragon reincarnates as a human. There's monster girls, so of course there are a couple of demi-cows. Really not the central point of the story.

Hehe I know you will gonna do reaction for this this is what I’ve been waiting for😭

This is one of my faves this season so far. They haven't told the whole story yet as to why his wife has to be under a certain age, iirc. I don't think there will be any really sus moments in the story so rest easy. (The thing that bothers me most this season is Goodbye, Dragon Life and the milk, especially Episode 3.) Yes, it has a lot of similarities with 7th Time Loop. BTW, I know I recommended this to you, it was on Episode 2 of the other Villainess show.

myst0dreamer

This is a funny regression anime but sus as hell

I like this show. It's nothing "new", but it's kinda funny with some interesting little quirks. hehe
